INTRODUCTION SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT LELEDOU 2

3- INTRODUCTIONS

Ivory Coast, described as developing country, but the truth is still a poor country in west Africa, with a long history of civil war, political turmoil, and economic strife.

Over the past decade, the world has become increasingly aware of the disparity in treatment of and mis opportunity of children in rural communities. Millions of children in Ivory Coast have no opportunity for education and little chance at improving their lives and those of their children.

There is little hope and Ivoire Foundation wants to deliver that hope to the children and the rural communities.

4-FUNDING REQUSTED

Twenty-five pound (£25,000) approximately.

With your help we plan to open our first school in the village of Fresco.

These school facilities will provide better shelter, nutrition, medical care and education to more that 210 children ranging in age from five to twelve years of age.

Together we can make the difference between a life of despair and a future filled with meaningful possibilities.

Ivoire Foundation has been operating as a charitable organization since 2019, servicing the need of the children for equal opportunity and secured healthy environments.

We made this our fight and promise to change life by creating opportunities and give hope to the children and the poor rural communities.

You can rest assured that your donation will be put to the best possible use with us.

5-NEED ASSESSMENT

Ivoire Foundation has identified the following needs which are not being met in the Ivory Coast.

5-1-NEED

While it is difficult to determine precisely how many rural communities, villages don’t have appropriate school facilities.

Non-governmental organizations operating within the country estimate somewhere between 30,000 and 50,000 villages living without proper school electricity and clean water.

At least 2 million to 5 million children do not have access to appropriate school amenities and descent facilities as the government currently lacks of resources to care for its growing population.

Added to this, continuing political instabilities, and this situation is unlikely to change, but we have hope it would be one day.

In the meantime, the priority need of this project proposal is to have an education institution which will join hand with the ministry of education’s effort of having a nation with high level of education at all levels.

A nation which produces the quality and quantity of educated children and population sufficiently equipped with appropriate facilities and the requisite knowledge to solve the society’s poverty problems in order to meet the challenges of development and attain competitiveness at regional, global, large and free costs.

6-SOLUTION

Ivoire Foundation plans to build appropriate school amenities facilities for more than 200 children of the village of Fresco, with 6 classroom, outdoor toilet, canteen and library.

We also desperately need the facility to house the 13 teachers who share a two-bedroom house.

We have a history of success in caring, educating and finding solution to improve the living condition of disadvantaged children and the population in rural communities.

In addition, we have been working on providing a solution for the village to have access in clean water and still fighting have all villages in Ivory Coast to be electrified in the next decade.

Helping more than 200 children in each village per year is a tiny percentage of the needy in the Ivory Coast, but we must begin somewhere.

We wish to expand our reach within the country in time.

7-FACILITIES

8-4- NUTRITION

10-COMMUNITY

This project is important to the community of fresco and the government of the Ivory Coast, both of which, although currently unable to fund the effort, desire to have a better facility into a caring environment, and desires to have its children educated so they may become contributing citizens in the country’s future. We plan to involve the community in the school’s efforts in the following manner.

10-2-COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Donations from Local Churches Although most ivory coast organization do not have the funds to donate large sums to charitable efforts, most are willing to contribute small in addition, local citizens will be encouraged to donate clothing, toys, non-perishable foods and fresh produce to the school canteen.

Although most citizens of Ivory Coast have few material goods, they have now started to offer help and often willing to give time to the poorest, especially children. We plan to recruit as many volunteers as possible to help care for our children as well as to educate them and teach them basic skills such as being generous, feel compassion and help in recognition of a need with out expected anything in retuned.

11-MISSION STATEMENT

We believe education is for all so in joining hand, we could reach out to those who cannot afford or don’t have the possibility to have a decent studies environment.

With appropriate amenities facilities, we could change the lives off the children by improving the studies environments for this rural community of fresco in the Sassandra Region of Ivory Coast, situated in West Africa.

There is little hope and Ivoire Foundation wants to deliver that hope the children and the rural communities.

Everyone deserves a chance to succeed in life, so join hands so that we could reach out to those in need and change lives.
